If you can afford to pay your electricity bill, you can afford to go solar. There are absolutely zero upfront costs when going solar and financing options available.
There are absolutely zero upfront costs when going solar based on financial qualification. The average solar system investment is between $30,000 and $50,000 before incentives and rebates. It is actually more affordable to own your power than to continue to rent it from the utility. Solar energy is fixed, predictable and the only risk is that the sun doesn't come out again! One-time investment for a lifetime of savings.

A roof replacement is recommended if your roof has existing structural, waterproofing issues or if it is older than 20 years. Solar energy systems can last for up to 35 years, and it can be costly to remove and reinstall them if you need to replace your roof. Our consultants will be able to tell you whether to replace your roof before going solar.
Properties with solar energy systems may increase their value up to 11%, depending on system type and size. Comparing apples to apples, houses with solar sell faster than others as stated by Zillow and Trulia.
You have a few options when you move:
1. Transfer the solar bill to the new owner by switching the name just like you would with your regular utility bill.
2. You can pay off by increasing your property's selling price accordingly. Prospective buyers won’t worry about an electricity bill at all.

25% to 30% of solar energy clients are builders, developers and general contractors, who increase the property value without ever living in the house. As a homeowner you will leverage tax credits and save money while you own the property.
It depends on your energy consumption and roof constraints. At PayOli Solar we design a customized solution according to your current and future needs, budget requirements, and available roof space.
Most solar energy systems are grid-tied, which means they are able to exchange power with the grid for a benefit to the owner. Your utility company will continue to provide you with electricity at nighttime. It’s possible to go off the grid with a solar energy set-up that has a battery storage system, which is required for autonomy during hurricanes and power outages.
Net Metering is a billing mechanism that enables the customer to trade power with the utility. A bi-directional meter reads power in both directions; any excess solar energy that is not consumed by a home is sent back to the grid in exchange for credits that are applied to the next billing cycle.
Depending on local building code, solar panels must withstand hurricane winds between 140 - 180 mph or up to category 4 hurricanes. If panels are flying away it's because your roof is going with it!
Solar PV systems without storage (batteries) will not work during a power outage since there is no means to deposit any excess energy production when there is a grid outage; this is for the safety of the homeowner as well as the utility employees working on repairing the outage.
Solar PV paired with batteries provide you with energy independence and security, so life in your home can carry on uninterrupted during a grid outage. Your system will continue to operate as normal, and your batteries will automatically react to severe weather events.

Utility companies categorized solar systems into tiers based on Kilowatts (kW). Although these terms will vary with each utility, the tiers are generally recognized throughout Florida as follows:
Tier 1: Systems less than or equal to 10 kW AC (or 11.76 kW DC)
Tier 2: Larger than 10 kW AC (or 11.76 kW DC) up to 100 kW AC (or 118 kW DC)
Tier 3: Larger 100kW AC (or 118 kW DC)
If your energy needs require a Tier 2 system, your utility company will require proof of a ‘Personal Liability Policy’ (PLP) or General Liability Policy that provides at least $1 million coverage.

Net metering is a simple, easy-to-understand billing mechanism that “rolls the meter backwards” whenever the customer sends solar energy they’re not using back to the grid.
Similar to rollover minutes on a cell phone plan, it provides a credit for excess energy that is sent to the grid, which a solar customer can use to offset their usage later in the day, week, or month.
